Oregon State Bar minimum continuing legal Education Rules and Regulations (As amended effective May 10, 2018). Purpose It is of primary importance to the members of the bar and to the public that attorneys continue their legal education after admission to the bar. continuing legal education assists Oregon lawyers in maintaining and improving their competence and skills and in meeting their obligations to the profession. These Rules establish the minimum requirements for continuing legal education for members of the Oregon State Bar. Rule One Terms and Definitions Active Member: An active member of the Oregon State Bar, as defined in Article 6 of the Bylaws of the Oregon State Bar. Accreditation: The formal process of accreditation of activities by the MCLE Program Manager. BOG: The Board of Governors of the Oregon State Bar. Accredited CLE Activity: An activity that provides legal or professional education to attorneys in accordance with MCLE Rule 5.
