Purpose: To provide a framework for orientation , induction and mandatory training (including refresher periods) for employees. Application: This policy applies to employees working for the Department of Health and non- prescribed Hospital and Health Services who are: current employees new permanent, temporary or casual pool appointments existing employees appointed, promoted or transferred to another work location existing employees resuming duty after leave of more than 12 months. This policy also applies to other persons, including contractors, consultants, students and volunteers where there is a legislative requirement for any person to have specific training building fire evacuation.
