This 2021 update contains many important changes. Some major changes include: recognition of carbon monoxide measuring devices that use exhaled breath. emphasis on the care of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI)/ head injury that has been proven to improve patient outcome . addition of the optional use of a glucagon prefilled intranasal powder or intramuscular autoinjector for the treatment of hypoglycemia.
