GENERAL PHARMACY REQUIREMENTS. Pharmacies DISPENSING CONTROLLED substances must be registered with the US DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). and registrations must be renewed every 3 years. The certificate of registration must be maintained at the registered location for official inspection.
