1 INTRODUCTIONFor some 30 years now, we have manufactured piezoelectricceramics and marketed them under the trade namePZT (Lead Zirconate Titanate)All these materials are compounds of lead zirconate and leadtitanate manufactured by the most modern productionmethods. One of their principal advantages is that theirproperties can be optimized to suit specific applications byappropriate adjustment of the zirconate-titanate Ceramics are hard, chemically inert andcompletely insensitive to humidity or other atmosphericinfluences.
