1.1 This document sets out the government’s policy on rents for social housing from 1 April 2020 onwards. 1.2 We have directed the Regulator of Social Housing (‘the Regulator’) to have regard to this policy statement when setting its r ent standard for registe red providers of social housing (‘registered providers’) .
