Post-Operative Instructions

Closed Weekends and Holidays We are not available overnight, on weekends, or holidays. Post-Operative Instructions Your pet has been under general anesthesia and has had a surgical operation. Your pet will probably be sleepy tonight. YES Keep your pet inside in a small, warm, and quiet area where he/she can rest and recover from surgery. YES Offer your pet a small amount of water and small amount of food only if he/she is not vomiting when getting home. Make sure they have settled down. Too much food/water/excitement may cause vomiting. YES Check the incision every day for excessive swelling, blood or pus leakage, or excessive bruising. Do not apply cleaner or ointment to the incision. Call us with any concerns. Yes Your pet was given a pain injection while at the clinic.
