Small Business, Inc. is a metal coating operation that needs to determine whether or not they are a major source of air contaminants and, therefore, subject to the ROP Program. The PTE process has been broken down into the steps and summarized below, but will be discussed in more detail in the following pages. STEP 1: Conduct a facility inventory to identify process equipment. STEP 2: Gather data for each emission source. STEP 3: Categorize emission sources (permitted, grandfathered, or exempt). STEP 4: Identify legally enforceable limitations.
