Chapter EighteenPower Trim and Tilt SystemsThe MerCruiser Power trim system permitsraising or lowering the stern drive unit for efficientoperation under varying conditions. Early sterndrive units used a mechanical tilt system in theform of a series of holes in the gimbal ring.
