The Welfare Exemption must be claimed for uses of the property beyond the scope of religious worship and schools, or if the property also is used regularly by a charitable organization. An advantage of the Church Exemption is that it is the sole exemption available to leased property. The Welfare Exemption covers the greatest number of uses.
