PROVIDENT fund BENEFIT STATEMENT STARTING DATES The Auto Workers PROVIDENT fund and Motor Industry PROVIDENT fund have recently been upgraded to a new computer system. The transfer has been highly successful. All financial and BENEFIT detail is correctly reflected on current BENEFIT Statements issued by the Funds or drawn from the internet. Unfortunately, certain challenges were experienced with regard to matching STARTING DATES of members on these Funds with STARTING DATES reflected on previous BENEFIT STATEMENT issued via the old system. This was mostly due to some members having previously been on other motor industry funds (including the old Pension Funds). PROVIDENT fund STARTING DATES also appear to be mistaken for employment STARTING DATES in some instances. Accordingly, please note that - With effect from 1 April 2017, the main aim in determining the STARTING date on the new format STATEMENT is to show the earliest PROVIDENT fund STARTING date in either PROVIDENT fund only, as the old Pension Funds no longer exist.
