She told me that I was making the bread the wrong way; I had to knead the dough for ten minutes. I. gave up because I knew I. would never get the knack of it. I feel wretched because I don't understand the book; it is written in a foreign language that I. have no knowledge of. The elderly woman was feeling her age.
