To achieve this, recommendations and advice are given for the evaluation of those uncertainties. The Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) [1] is recognised by EA as the master document on measurement uncertainty. Therefore, consistency with the GUM is generally required for specific guidance or recommendations for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty in any field of application associated with EA activity.
