1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY STUDY:NORTHWEST GEORGIA BIKEWAYS and TRAILS:PLANNING MULTIUSE ROUTESP roposals must be received by 4:00 on May 9, PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Northwest Georgia Regional Commission (NWGRC) is seeking the services of aqualified consultant to PREPARE a feasibility study. The study area is the north Georgiaportion of the Chattanooga Hamilton County/ North Georgia Transportation PlanningOrganization (TPO). The TPO is the MPO for the area. Georgia county jurisdictionsare approximately Catoosa County, the upper portion of Walker County and a verysmall piece of northeastern Dade County. A map is included with this project will involve inventory and evaluation of existing bicycle, pedestrian andmulti-use trails and their connections to parks, especially the Chickamauga MilitaryPark, greenspaces, neighborhoods, employment centers, shopping areas, and othercommunity resources.
