REQUIREMENTS FOR work AND RESIDENT PERMITS To work as a missionary or volunteer in Tanzania you have to have a work permit and a RESIDENT permit . Additional to those PERMITS , medical personnel and teachers have to have a license for their profession from authorities in Tanzania. The procedure is as follows in time order: 1. Accreditation Certificate, License. Medical personnel (doctors, dentist and nurses) and teachers has to apply for a license to work in their profession. The license has to be issued before applying 2. work permit ; application to Labor Office and takes 4 weeks from acceptance of documents and payment.
