Running a DFT calculation in VASP
calculation • Default: Normal – Standard calculation – are sufficiently accurate with errors less than 1 meV/atom • Low – quick and dirty calculations • Accurate – High accuracy calculations – ENCUT : Controls the no. of plane waves in the basis set • Default: ENCUT=Largest ENMAX of POTCAR file – Best if convergence test
