These notes refer to the SAFEGUARDING VULNERABLE GROUPS Act 2006 ( )which received Royal Assent on 8 November 20061 SAFEGUARDING VULNERABLE GROUPS ACT 2006 EXPLANATORY explanatory notes relate to the SAFEGUARDING VULNERABLE GROUPS Act whichreceived Royal Assent on 8th November 2006. They have been prepared by theDepartment for Education and Skills in order to assist the reader in understanding theAct.
