NOTIFICATION No. SOIX-Reg (S&GAD) 2/D/1-73. --- In exercise the powers conferred by section 26 of the sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973, ( sindh Act XIV of 1973) the Government of sindh are pleased to make the following rules, namely:- THE sindh CIVIL SERVANTS (APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION AND TRANSFER) RULES, 1974. PART-I G E N E R A L 1. These rules may be called the sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1974. 2. In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context: -- (a) "appointing authority", in relation to a post, means the person authorised under rule 6 to make appointment to that post; (aa) "Basic Scale", means a basic scale of pay sanctioned by Government in which a post or group of posts is placed; (b) "Provincial Selection Board", means a Board
