The oral dosage forms have many advantages over other types of dosage forms like greater stability, accurate dosage, smaller bulk and easy production is possible. The formulation of poorly soluble compounds for oral delivery at present is one of the most frequent and greatest challenges to formulation scientists in the pharmaceutical industry. Nearly 40% of identified potential new drug by pharmaceutical industry are poorly water soluble. Poor water soluble compounds show decreased release rate & poor bioavailability.
