Sr. Mary Clement, 101, passed away Thanksgiving morning , november 24, 2005 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial was held 9:30 am Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 at Our Lady Of Peace Chapel, Bishop Drumm in Johnston. Interment was made in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines. Sr. Clement was born July 28, 1904 to John and Frances (Bates) Flattery near Georgetown, Monroe County. She entered religious life on September 8, 1923. Except for brief periods at Holy Family School in Council Bluffs, St. Peter School in Des Moines, and Assumption School in Granger, all of her years in teaching were at Holy Trinity School in Des Moines. She served as principal and teacher in her 42 years at Holy Trinity School.
