SRO 76 CHAPTER – I Definition - Jammu Excise
The Jammu & kashmir Levy of Tolls Rules 1995 1 The Jammu and kashmir Levy of Tolls Act 1995 SRO 76 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Jammu and kashmir Levy of Tolls Act 1995 (Act No. VIII of 1995), the Government hereby make the following rules, namely:- CHAPTER I 1. Short Title and Commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Jammu and kashmir Levy of Tolls Rules, 1995. (2) They shall come into force with immediate effect. 2. Definition :- (1) In these rules unless there is anything repugnant to the subject or context. a) Act means the Jammu and kashmir Levy of Toll Act, 1995 (1938 ). b) Commissioner , Dy. Commissioner and Excise and Taxation Officer shall have the same meanings as are assigned to them in the Jammu and kashmir Excise Act, 1958.
