A programme of this magnitude requires that every possible opportunity for enhancing pace of capacity addition is explored and fully exploited. In this context, there has been a long felt need to standardize the TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION of thermal power stations with a view to reducing the time for pre-award activities, design & engineering and the manufacturing by equipment manufacturers.
