High St 19th Floor Columbus ohio The ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program Council (OGRIP) serves as the authorized coordinating body for Geographic Information System (GIS) activity in the State of ohio . Created in response to the critical need for coordination in the development and use of digital spatial data the fifteen member OGRIP Council serves as a communication channel between State and local government concerning statewide geographic or location based initiatives. Supporting Asset Management Activities for the Highest and Best Use of Property In 2009 the Council s duties were expanded to include the production of a State - Owned real Property Management Report and the creation of an Inventory of State - Owned real Property assets (SORP). To accomplish these tasks OGRIP is engaging State agencies and local government in a collaborative effort to compile a statewide parcel database layer to better manage these assets.
