State-wise Mineral Scenario
State-wise Mineral Scenario During the year 2010-11, Mineral production was reported from 32 States/Union Territories of which the bulk of value of Mineral production of about was confined to 11 States (including offshore areas) only. Offshore areas continued to be in leading position, in terms of value of Mineral production in the country and had the share of in the national output. The number of reporting mines in Chhattisgarh was 151 in 2010-11 as against 152 in the previous year. The index of mineral production in Chhattisgarh (base 1993-94=100) was 264.33 in the year 2010-11 as against 250.7 in the previous year. 3.
