Thetitle imposes a duty to maintain public confidence and implies a responsibility to be current in knowledge,skills, and abilities in relevant areas so that quality, competent service is assured. This duty and this respon-sibility extends to all accounting environment within which the accounting professional functions is more dynamic and demandingtoday than ever before. The profession is characterized by an explosion of relevant knowledge, a changingand expanding nature, and increasing complexity as a result of advancing technology; globalization ofcommerce; increasing specialization, proliferating regulations, and the complex nature of business transac-tions.
