Streamlining Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings
Care by a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) has long been the gold standard for patients with cancer. Signalled by the Calman-Hine report in 1995 and mandated by the National Cancer Plan in 2000, the pledge that all patients with cancer would have their care reviewed by an MDT has now become a central part of the cancer pathway.
