1 Summary of Senate Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( 3684) August 10, 2021 On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the Senate approved the roughly $1 trillion 3684 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs (IIJA) Act. The bill passed with strong bipartisan support by a vote of 69-30. The bill includes the surface transportation reauthorization slated to expire at the end of September 2021. IIJA includes $550 billion in new federal Investment , of which about $274 billion would go to the Department of Transportation (DOT).
