TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE ( data ), level ii The New york city Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE ( data ), level ii positions in the Management Information Systems Division. The TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE ( data ), level ii will be responsible for the installation and testing of copper and fiber cables for the Department s network hardware needs; troubleshooting, repairing and modifying the network s hardware and connectivity requirements; and providing technical support in the relocation of network hardware and maintaining a TELECOMMUNICATIONS and related computer inventory. Candidates must be experienced in cabling and infrastructure design including cabling distribution pathways and spaces, horizontal cabling systems, operation of data analyzers, cable scanners, PCs, punch down tools, line toners/receivers, TELECOMMUNICATIONS and equipment rooms, TELECOMMUNICATIONS service entrance and termination, aerial plant, underground, and buried cable, grounding, bonding.
