Overview The 2019 TEXAS BUSINESS PERMITS and LICENSES Guide is provided by the BUSINESS Permit Office within the Office of the Governor's Economic Development and Tourism Division. The BUSINESS Permit Office, established in accordance with Subchapter H, Chapter 481 of the TEXAS Government Code, is responsible for providing comprehensive information on PERMITS required for BUSINESS enterprises in the state and for making that information available to applicants and other persons. This comprehensive permit guide offers a listing of state PERMITS that may be required for persons desiring to operate a BUSINESS enterprise in the state.
