the diagnosis of emphysema in uninflated lungs is not dependable and that retrospective surveys of necropsies performed in the customary way will not provide evidence of any value concerning the prevalence of emphysema. The diagnosis of emphysema on uninflated lungs is not completely inaccurate, however.
