act 522 Water Resources Commission Act, 1996 THE FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SECOND ACT OF THE PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC 0F GHANA ENTITLED WATER RESOURCES COMMISSION ACT, 1996 AN ACT to establish a Water Resources Commission, to provide for its composition and functions on the regulation and management of the utilization of water resources in Ghana and for related matters. DATE OF ASSENT: 30th December, 1996 BE IT ENACTED BY PALIAMENT as follows- PART I ESTABLISHMENT AND FUNCTIONS OF THE WATER RESOURSCES COMMISSION 1. (1) There is established by this Act a Water Resources Commission referred to in the Act as the Commission . (2) The Commission shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name. (3) The Commission may for and in connection with the discharge of its functions purchase, hold, manage or dispose of any movable or immovable property and may enter into such contracts and transactions as may be reasonably related to its functions.
