For far too long, people of all ages with Mental Health problems have been stigmatised and marginalised, all too often experiencing an NHS that treats their minds and bodies separately.
National Service Framework for Mental Health was launched to establish a comprehensive evidence based service. This was followed by the NHS Plan in 2000 which set targets and provided funding to make the Framework a reality. A National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services was then launched in 2004.
