The Honorable Heidi Shyu
The Honorable Heidi shyu Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics &Technology) and Army Acquisition Executive Ms. Heidi shyu , a political appointee, was confirmed as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology [ASA(ALT)] on September 21, 2012. Prior to this, she was asked to serve as the Principal Deputy, appointed November 8, 2010, and later as the Acting ASA(ALT), starting June 4, 2011. As the ASA (ALT), Ms. shyu serves as the Army Acquisition Executive, the Senior Procurement Executive, the Science Advisor to the Secretary of the Army, and the Army s Senior Research and Development official. She also has principal responsibility for all Department of the Army matters related to logistics. Ms. shyu leads the execution of the Army s acquisition function and the acquisition management system.
