Norman Lamb MP HEPI report 88 About the AuthorPoppy Brown is a third year undergraduate studying Psychology and Philosophy at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. She is a volunteer for the education charity Schools Plus and the mental health charity Oxfordshire Mind, and is conducting a research project into Social Anxiety Disorder. Her interests lie primarily in mental health research, but also using evidence from Psychology more generally to inform health and mental wellbeing: Having the emotional resilience to cope with everyday pressures, enjoy life and undertake productive work while having a belief in one s own and others worth. It is not just the absence of a mental illness: one can have good mental wellbeing yet have a diagnosed mental illness. mental illness, mental disorder and having a mental health condition: Qualified professionals use standardised measures to diagnose mental disorders.
