Abstract The incidence of substance use disorders (SUDs) is increasing rapidly and it is one of the major challenges in developed countries. The current treatments are limited considering the relatives ineffectiveness of medication and psychotherapy. Occupational Therapy (OT), with its client centered approach, has been relatively underutilized in the Management of SUDs.
