Our tomatoes are sustainably grown in Washington and Oregon. They are free from GMOs and synthetic pesticides. Heirloom, Open-Pollinated, and Hybrid Varieties Many of the varieties we carry are heirlooms, meaning that they were developed before about 1950. Heirlooms come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. All heirlooms are open-pollinated (non-hybrid). Seeds saved from these varieties will grow up to be like their parents. Look for heirloom or open pollinated beneath variety names on this list. We also carry quality hybrid varieties. Hybridization is a simple and natural process, not to be confused with GMOs. Hybrids are known for vigor, high yields, and disease resistance. They often look and taste great too. If you save seeds from a hybrid, you never know what s going to sprout. New this year: heirloom marriages hybrids with heirloom parents.
