Traffic Crash Facts Annual Report 2019 Providing Highway Safety and Security through Excellence in Service, Education, and Enforcement Please note, while reviewing the 2019 Traffic Crash Facts annual report, the statistics presented in this document are subject to change as new and updated Crash reports may be received after the closeout date of November 6, 2020. Information in the Florida Traffic Crash Statistics Summary maynot reflect the same totals as additional sub-tables throughout the document. This is due to the nature of Crash reporting and fields that can be reported with one or many selections. For example, a Non-Motorist such as a Bicyclist can be reported with up to two separate Safety Equipment selections. This may increase the number of reported injuries and fatalities when looking at a specific Safety Equipment value.
• Injury crash – Non-fatal traffic crash that results in one or more injuries. • Incapacitating injury – Disabling injuries, such as broken bones, severed limbs, etc. These injuries usually require hospitalization and transport to a medical facility.
