Beatriz Riondet El objetivo del TRATAMIENTO es disminuir la morbimortalidad cardiovascular. Esto se logra mediante la normalizaci n de la presi n ARTERIAL (PA) y el control de otros factores de riesgo (FR) cardiovasculares (CV), sin provocar otras enfermedades f sicas, ps quicas o sociales. Es necesario corregir entonces, si el paciente los presentara, FR como hipercolesterolemia, tabaquismo, obesidad, diabetes y sedentarismo si se quiere disminuir significativamente su riesgo cardiovascular.
