Solubility in nonpolar organic solvents, such as aliphatic hydrocarbons, is generally the reverse of solubility in water. Most of the products are soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and in polar organic solvents, such as alcohols, ether, etc. The below table shows the qualitative solubility behavior of these materials.
