ATI Allegheny Ludlum AL-6XN alloy (UNS n08367 ). is the most cor rosion resistant iron-base austenitic stainless alloy produced by Allegheny Technologies at C ONTENTS this time. It is a low carbon, high purity, nitrogen-bearing "super-austenitic" stainless alloy. The AL-6XN alloy was designed to be a seawater resistant material and has Introduction and Over view 2 since been demonstr ated to be resistant to a broad range of ver y corrosive environments. It is readily avail- Specifications 8 able from stock in a wide r ange of product for ms, in- Applications 10 cluding thick plate that is suitable for multi-pass weld- ing dur ing field fabrication.
