It offers the user quick access both to the contents of SAS data sets and catalogs as well as to their metadata. Format options can be explored on the fly. If the SAS/ACCESS Software for Microsoft Excel , etc., modules are licensed, the user may view external files from within SAS. The Window is not a replacement for PROC CONTENTS but is a highly useful alternative.
