Volume II (Vol. II) is the stand-alone, comprehensive and capability-based portion of the UN Infantry Battalion Manual (UNIBAM). This Volume provides Battalion Commanders, staff, and Company Commanders with best practice baseline information that is normally required to plan, lead and manage battalion peacekeeping operations. 2. Vol. II supports the Purpose and Scope outlined in Chapter 1, Vol. I of the UNIBAM. The contents in the Volume are designed to assist key lead-ers in their planning and preparations, training and equipping, organizing and evaluating and in execution of command and control responsibilities related to UN Infantry Battalions.
