Compliance with this Memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are inconsistent with other Air force publications; the information herein prevails, in accordance with AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms Management. This Guidance Memorandum updates Air force housing policy by incorporating DoDI , Guidance on the Use of Service Dogs by Service Members, 7 January 2016, to address recovering service members who have medical conditions that require the assistance of a service dog for activities of daily living on DoD installations while on active duty.
