Welcome back to school ! I hope this message finds you safe and well. I also hope you had the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends over the summer break. The last school year was unprecedented for everyone. Our students, employees, and families faced unique challenges as COVID-19 forced schools to close, disrupted lives and caused personal losses and hardships. As we start the new school year, we want to help our students recover from the trauma of the pandemic, deepen our relationships, and reinforce positive supports. Our focus in the new year is to create more opportunities for our students to feel supported, enjoy learning and reach their full potential. For the 2021-22 school year, LA Unified is offering all students full-day, in-person instruction five days a week.
