Student Expectation Handbook 2018-2019 Westerly Public Schools Grades Pre-K - 4 Dear Parent: In accordance with ESSA, Section 1112(e)(1)(A) PARENTS RIGHT-TO-KNOW, this letter serves as notification from the Westerly Public School (WPS) District to every parent of a student attending a WPS school receiving federal Title funding that parents of students in said Schools have the right and may request, and the agency will provide the parents up on request (and in a timely manner), information regarding the professional qualifications of the student s classroom teachers, including at a minimum, the following: 1. Whether the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
