X-Ring &. Multiseal . Low Friction Seals X-Rings are also known as Quad Rings or Quad ring Seals. An X-Ring or a Quad ring may be used to reduce friction in dynamic sealing applications. X-Rings and Quad Rings are available in the same sizes as AS- 568 O-Rings as well as non-standard sizes. X-Rings and Quad Rings may also be used in static applications. In some cases there is an advantage when using an X-Ring or Quad ring over an O- ring . X-Ring Seals and Quad ring seals are available in many different rubber materials including internally lubricated compounds. An X-Ring or Quad ring is not a good choice for a drive belt.
