REV. CHIM. (Bucharest) 62 No. 5 2011 Method Adaptation for Horizontal Cylindrical Vessels ( )Asymmetrically Supported on Three Saddle Supportswith Support SettlementsALEXANDRU POPA*, EUGENIU SOVARELP etroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Faculty, 39 Bucuresti, Bvd., 100880, Ploiesti, paper presents a way of using the zick Method for the design of the Horizontal Cylindrical vesselsupported in three points. The effect of the settlements has been considered taking into account the PD5500-2009 hypothesis used and the results of the calculations reached the conclusion thatthe bounded of a Cylindrical vessel is not recommended to be made in three : Horizontal Cylindrical vessel supported on three saddle supports, settlements, zick methodIn a previous paper [1], there was presented the wayZick Method had been extended to the supported on three saddle supports withoutsupport settlements, as described under the BritishStandards 5500 - 2003 [2].
