the resolution and to answer arguments made by your opponent. Based on the strength of your arguments, you will be awarded with ei-ther a win or a loss. At some tournaments, the cumulative wins and losses will enable you to participate in elimination rounds such a quar-terfinal, semifinal, and a final round debate.
