Hydrogen Bonds - Brandeis
The dipoles in hydrogen bonds are induced dipoles. Formation of a hydrogen bond further polarized the bonds RULE 5: Hydrogen bonds contribute little to overall protein stability, but they align molecular groups in a specific orientation giving proteins a defined structure. RULE6: Unsatisfied Hydrogen bonds in the protein interior are quite rare.
