Respiratory system (tracheal system): Spiracles: External openings on each side of most body segments Tracheae: large tubes that run the length of the body on each side. Smaller tubes are called tracheal branches and tracheoles. Air sacs that store air (air, not just oxygen) may be located in the abdomen and/or the thorax.
